Discover Program 2025 Summer: Leveraging EVs for the Future of 2050

August 26, 2025

The Discover Program 2025 Summer was held over three days from August 19 to 21, 2025, at J. F. Oberlin University’s Shinjuku Campus.

This year saw the largest-ever participation of 60 high school students from across Japan. Divided into 10 teams, they engaged in passionate discussions and presentations centered on the theme “Electric Vehicles Needed for Japan in 2050.”

The venue was filled throughout with the vibrant energy of lively, youthful debate. The students directly confronted the unavoidable challenges facing Japan’s near future, such as environmental issues and an aging society. Even weighty themes like global warming, disasters, educational disparities, and the burden of healthcare and welfare transformed into hope for the future through their hands. Centered on EV technology, numerous ideas emerged for “mobility that creates happiness” – enriching lives, supporting people’s hearts, and fostering well-being.

On the final day’s presentations, free-thinking creativity and earnest dedication blended perfectly, revealing one powerful vision after another for future society. Their presence embodied the very energy of the next generation, inspiring profound emotion and courage.
Apatech Motors will continue to support these young challengers and stand alongside them in building the “happy future” they imagine. Through our partnership with Obirin University, we will keep pioneering new possibilities together.
