Apatech Motors and J. F. Oberlin University launch industry-academia collaboration on the subject of electric vehicles (EV).

Apatech Motors Ltd., Co. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Feng Sun, President and Representative Director, hereinafter “Apatech Motors”) and J. F. Oberlin University (Head Office: Machida City, Tokyo; University President: Hiroaki Hatayama), sharing the philosophy of global warming countermeasures and environmental protection, will collaborate to build a mutually beneficial relationship by promoting industry-academia collaboration through activities such as research and study on electric vehicles and practical learning, in response to the accelerated decarbonization and globalization and the significant social changes taking place in the world.

Background and purpose of the partnership

In recent years, as the risk of climate change has become more serious and countries have been calling for a “halving of CO2 emissions by 2030” in order to realize a decarbonized society, the electrification of vehicles (EV) has become a major issue for decarbonization efforts in Japan as well.

In addition, as society becomes increasingly globalized, there is a growing demand for human resources who can contribute to global society, and educational reforms are underway to educate such human resources.

Under these circumstances, Apatech Motors and J. F. Oberlin University will provide J. F. Oberlin University students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of real business and the industrial world by conducting market research, including a questionnaire survey on the response of Generation Z, and practicing marketing techniques such as sales planning and PR, using the popular EVs handled by Apatech Motors as the subject matter.

Through these activities, Apatech Motors hopes to contribute to environmental conservation and the development of the next generation of human resources through the popularization of environmentally friendly automobiles.
