Apatech Motors and Sharing Energy Form Business Partnership in Environmentally Responsive Vehicles and Solar Power for a Decarbonized Society

Apatech Motors Corporation (headquartered in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Feng Sun, President; hereinafter “Apatech Motors”) and Sharing Energy Co. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO: Kazuyuki Uemura; hereinafter “Sharing Energy”) have started to consider collaboration in order to cooperate and respond to the changing environment amid the drastically changing circumstances surrounding the automobile and energy industries toward a decarbonized society.

Background and purpose of this partnership

In recent years, as the risk of climate change has become more serious and countries have been calling for a “halving of CO2 emissions by 2030” in order to realize a decarbonized society, the electrification of vehicles and the introduction of solar power generation have become key issues for decarbonization efforts in Japan as already mentioned.

Under these circumstances, Aptech Motors and Sharing Energy will collaborate by bringing together their mutual resources in the development of Apatech Motors’ business of popular Chinese-made EVs in Japan and Sharing Energy’s “Share-Denki,” a service that allows customers to install solar power generation at no initial cost and save on their electricity bills. By bringing our resources together and cooperating with each other, we hope to contribute to the pursuit of people’s happiness and environmental conservation through the spread of environmentally friendly vehicles and the provision of Share Denki, a service that allows the installation of solar power generation, a renewable energy source, at no initial cost and helps to resolve rising electricity costs.

Apatec Motors and Sharing Energy will hold detailed discussions with the aim of concluding a basic agreement on business alliance as soon as possible.
