Apatech Motors and Ikuyo Form Business Partnership for Environmental Responsiveness and EV Adaptation in the Automotive Industry

Apatech Motors Ltd., Co. (headquartered in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Feng Sung; hereinafter “Apatech Motors”) and Ikuyo Corporation (headquartered in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Hiromu Sakai; hereinafter “Ikuyo”), listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market, have entered into a “Basic Agreement on Business Alliance” (hereinafter “Basic Agreement”) on November 24, 2022 to cooperate and respond to environmental changes in the automotive industry in order to move toward a de-carbonized society.
Background and Aims of the Partnership
In recent years, as the risk of climate change has become more serious and more countries have been calling for a “halving of CO2 emissions by 2030” in order to realize a decarbonized society, the automobile industry has been forced to shift its course to EVs.
Under such circumstances, Apatech Motors and Ikuyo will bring together their mutual resources to accelerate business development in Japan of Chinese-made EVs promoted by Apatech Motors and to expand business with Chinese EV manufacturers promoted by Ikuyo, in order to respond to changes surrounding the automotive industry and at the same time, to promote the happiness of people through the spread of environmentally-friendly vehicles.
